With heavy rain all morning, it was not looking promising for the 2017 Chicken Day. However, right on cue, as the event kicked off, the skies cleared! As if they knew this would happen (or just that they knew Chicken Day was worth getting wet for anyway), the crowds soon arrived. A fun day was had by all, despite some controversy in the Handsomest Cockerel judging, and allegations of fowl play after messy play spaghetti ended up all over the start of the race track.
