5th October (7.30pm) Life and Death in Assynt’s Past will report back on the Loch Borrolan dig and the results of the Neolithic pottery making.

Report on Neolithic Pottery Day                                                                                          Wednesday, 7 September saw a highly successful Intergenerational event making ‘pots’ in the Neolithic way using Elphin Clay to be fired on Chicken Day on 24 September.

Potters included the Elphin ‘Elves’

The Elphin ‘overseas’ residents

The Borrolan contingent

Locals and ..

.. Borrolan ‘diggers’

As well as Elphin Clay providers/local ‘potters’

Then the real experts arrived – Heidi representing the Elphin Babies

A brilliant day was had by all. Especial thanks to Brenda who led the day and will oversee the building of the kiln and firing the ‘pots’ on Chicken Day.
