Many years ago, about 20, our village was invited to send a beauty queen (Tina MacDonald accompanied by Jane McNicol) to the Elphin in Ireland (Co. Roscommon).

With her, the community sent a plate from Elphin, Assynt, from the Highland Stoneware, Lochinver.
